Moorilla Hobart International Tennis - Australian Open Series

Jarmila has what a few Autralians are bringing back to the game – power!!  She can jump farther, faster this year because she has a serve that gets her “free” points.  Watch her doubles partner from last year too – Olivia Rogowska – great movement, consistency and hits the ball cleanly moving foward.  Can hold the trigger and think on her feet.Australia has lots to look foward to – especially on the women’s side!!Bob Donnelly – Tuxedo, NY, USA

    Jarka,
    Merry Christmas.
I know all the Australia girls so be tough I don’t know If you want to put the pressure on your right shoulder but Samantha Jane did it in SC really well she played with her right arm stress reaction and ended up losing but I have to give her a great job on her. You had a long recovery road your self. By twisting your ankle and hurt foot.
Can’t wait to see you in melbourne park hopefully

    Come on,Cahkvetadze! You’re the best!

I have seen her play twice now on the internet, and I think Sacha has some potential to make a rise in the standings. She moves well around the court and with a little more power on her forehand she could do well in the future. Playing under the Australian colors is most logical.

Great win for Shahar Peer  ——-and hopeful expectations for a semi-final victory against Yanina Wickmayer in the semi-finals ——

Poor Anna – she was playing so well before the cramping began, but 7-8 months out of the game makes it a pretty understandable issue to occur given her lack of match-play. Fingers crossed that all will be well for Melbourne and beyond and good luck to Shahar in the SF.
