Hobart International will be boosted in 2015 after it was announced today that iiNet, Australia’s leading provider of public wifi, will provide free wifi access to anyone attending the tournament between 11–17 January at the Domain Tennis Centre.

The new capability offers better connectivity at the tournament and will improve the stadium experience for all spectators to enjoy.

“iiNet is a valued partner of our event and we welcome this new initiative on site at the Hobart International,” said Mark Handley, Hobart International Tournament Director.

“iiNet, in partnership with the Hobart International, is committed to elevating the fan experience and we are thrilled we can share this innovation with the Tasmanian community.”

iiNet Chief Business Officer Greg Bader said he was excited to include Tasmania for the first time as iiNet rapidly expanded its public wifi network across the country.

“We’re already rolling out CBD-wide, free, public, wifi across Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Ballarat and Bendigo as part of our commitment to improve Internet access to all Australians. This partnership only strengthens our position as Australia’s leading provider of public wifi.”
