Moorilla Hobart International Tennis - Australian Open Series

Alona Bondarenko recorded her fourth straight top 40 season ending finish. She was a finalist at Warsaw last year and reached two semifinals (Budapest and Moscow). She’ll be working hard to better her second round appearance at the Moorilla Hobart International in 2009, where she was unable to overcome eventual champion Petra Kvitova. Partnering with younger sister, Kateryna, she won her fourth tour doubles title at Prague. She also represented Ukraine in Fed Cup against Israel and Argentina, scoring defeats in both. Bondarenko is coached by her parents, Vladimir and Natalia.
