Casey Dellacqua is making her singles WTA comeback after undergoing left shoulder surgery in February 2009. Dellacqua made a return to tennis on Australia’s Pro Tour in November 2009, teaming up with fellow Aussie Alicia Molik in the doubles of Western Australia’s Cliffs Esperance International, reaching the semifinals. Dellacqua will be keen to reprise the heroics that saw her defeat experienced campaigners Patty Schnyder and Amelie Mauresmo in 2008, her career-best Grand Slam singles performance. A heavy returner of the ball, Dellacqua’s dangerous serve has undergone modification since her shoulder injury.
