Gajdosova to play Morita

Defending champion Jarmila Gajdosova will play world No.49 Ayumi Morita of Japan in the first round of the Moorilla Hobart International beginning on Sunday 8 January.



The Slovakian-born world No.33 represented Australia at the Hopman Cup this week where she was defeated by Marion Bartoli, China’s French Open champion Li Na but managed a victory over Spain’s Anabel Medina Garrigues, who is the second seed in Hobart
.

Wildcard Australian Casey Dellacqua will meet Galina Voskoboeva of Kazakhstan, while 15-year-old Queenslander Ashleigh Barty will make her WTA debut against American world No.55 Bethanie Mattek-Sands.

Another Australian wildcard, Anastasia Rodionova, will play Greta Arn from Hungary.

Top seed Yanina Wickmayer plays Marina Erakovic.
