Q. When do tickets go on sale to the general public?
General Public Multi-session are on sale from 9 am (AEDT) Wednesday 5 October 2016.
General Public Single Sessions are on sale from 9 am (AEDT) Wednesday 12 October 2016.
Tickets can be purchased via the following channels:
- Online at Ticketek-Hobart International
- Via the Ticketek call centre. Please call the Australian Open & Australian Open Series booking line 1300 888 104 if you are calling from within Australia or +61 3 9039 9407 if calling from an international phone number.
- Via Ticketek agencies. Please note that bookings at Ticketek agencies must be made in person and Ticketek agencies do not accept telephone enquires or bookings.
Q. I have attempted to purchase tickets on the Ticketek website and I have selected my tickets but the webpage has frozen and just keeps thinking. Have I still got my tickets?
The Ticketek website will only hold your tickets for 8 minutes. If the webpage has frozen it is likely that you have no longer got the tickets that were assigned to you. You will need to close the window and try again.
The easiest way to check if a transaction has been successful is to look for a confirmation email which is sent at the end of every successful transaction to the email address detailed in you’re My Ticketek login.
Q. How do I make a group booking?
For the Hobart International make a booking of 10 or more tickets per session and save! To take advantage of this offer please call the Ticketek Group bookings line on 1300 364 001 or email [email protected] . Note that this offer is available on the adult rate only.
Q. I am a member of Tennis Tasmania. Do I still receive a discount on the choice any 3 session package with my membership?
Yes. Members of Tennis Tasmania will still receive a discount on the choice any 3 session package tickets for the Hobart International. To receive the discount please quote your Tennis ID/membership number over the phone or show the card at an outlet. Over the internet please select the Tennis Tasmania membership prices that will be available on the purchase page.
Q. What are the dates of the 2017 event?
The dates are Sunday 8 January to Saturday 14 January 2017. The event is held at the Domain Tennis Centre in Hobart.
Q. What day/night sessions are there? When are the finals?
There are day sessions from Sunday 8 January through to Saturday 14 January 2017. Night sessions are held from Monday 11 January to Friday 13 January 2017.
The women’s singles and doubles semifinals will be held on Friday 13 January. The women’s singles and doubles final will be held on Saturday 14 January.
Q. What time will the Finals start on Saturday 14 January 2017?
The gates will open at 11 am on Saturday 14 January 2017. Play is due to commence at 12 pm, however, the schedule of play and the times will be subject to change depending on players involved in all finals. Patrons are advised to check www.hobartinternational.com.au the morning of the finals for the schedule of play.
Q. Where is the umpire chair located?
The umpire chair is located on the western side of the court.
Q. What makes up a Family Pass?
A family pass consists of 2 adults and 2 children (3–14 years as at 1 January 2017) OR 1 adult and 3 children.
Q. I want to see a particular player in action. When are they playing?
The Hobart International is an elimination tennis tournament. Tickets are sold to sessions of the Hobart International, rather than to watch particular matches or players so it is not possible to purchase tickets in advance for a specific player. As it is an elimination tournament, a schedule for each day cannot be announced until the night prior. You can find the schedule and order of play on the Hobart International website – www.hobartinternational.com.au. Remember, the schedule and order of play is subject to change at any time. Tennis tournaments are at times unpredictable and unavoidable events can occur. It all adds to the thrill and suspense of the Hobart International.
Q. How many matches are played on Centre Court in each session?
The schedule for each day’s matches is posted on www.hobartinternational.com.au the night before they occur. Alternatively the match schedule will be printed daily in the Mercury newspaper. This is subject to both weather and schedule changes. Ultimately the number of matches is determined by the Tournament Referee and is subject to change at any time.
Q. What’s the benefit in purchasing a series package?
When you purchase a series package you receive a discount on the total cost of buying the same sessions as a single session tickets. You also get to purchase tickets before the tickets get sold as single session tickets.
Q. Who is entitled to concession tickets?
A concession ticket is valid for children aged between 3–14 years, full-time students who are attending an Australian institution, Pensioners, Veteran Affairs & TPI, holders of valid Australian Health Care Cards & holders of Personal Treatment Entitlement Cards. There is no discount for seniors card holders. Children under 2 years of age are admitted free of charge into the event. Q. What is the best way to book?
To ensure fairness in ticket distribution ALL booking methods commence at the same time (9 am AEDT) wherever and however you book. It is important to book early as sessions sell fast.
Q. Do tickets on the internet sell faster than if I buy them over the phone?
All bookings methods (phone, agencies and internet) start selling tickets at the same time. To ensure that patrons who book via the phone or at agencies have equitable acces to the seat inventory, the number of patrons who can access the internet site to book is set at a predetermined capacity.

Access to Ticketek-Hobart International is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; however tickets cannot be purchased until 9 am (AEST) the morning of the scheduled on sale date detailed above. If you are on the site before 9 am then just before tickets go on sale, REFRESH the page to ensure you get the latest information and the GET TICKETS button appears. Note a time limit of 15 minutes applies to book your tickets from the time you first log on. Q. I live overseas or I will be away when tickets go on sale. How can I book?

Q. What is a restricted view ticket?
A restricted view ticket is a ticket that grants access into a seating area that has been deemed as having a restricted view of the court. The reason for the restriction could include being behind the umpire’s chair, a camera or any area that may have only a partial view of the court. You will be told at the time of purchase if you are purchasing a restricted view ticket.
Q. I require a special needs ticket. How do I purchase my tickets?
To purchase special needs tickets please call Ticketek on 1300 665 915. These tickets go on sale at the same date and time detailed for general public.
Q. Can I sell Hobart International tickets on eBay?
No. The Hobart International Ticket Conditions of Sale & Entry states that you cannot on-sell seats, therefore you will be in breach of these conditions if you put your tickets up for auction on eBay or any other auction site. Listed tickets on eBay or any other auction site that are sold above face value may be cancelled without refund and therefore patrons holding these tickets will be denied admission to the Hobart International.
Q. What is Kids Day?
Kids Day will be held on Saturday 7 January 2017. Please note all persons 12 years old and younger must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all time during the event.
Q. I bought tickets to what I thought was the women’s semifinal but I got a different match instead. Why has the match changed?
