Tennis fans in Tasmania will be treated to a fantastic day of tennis when a host of Australian stars take centre stage on day two of the 2011 Moorilla Hobart International.

World No.42 Jarmila Groth (AUS) will hope to continue her impressive form from the Brisbane International when she meets Johanna Larsson (SWE) in the opening match on Centre Court.

Australian Open Play-off winner Olivia Rogowska will then face qualifier Tamira Paszek (AUT), while the final match on Centre Court in the day session will see former champion Alicia Molik against Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden.

“I feel very ready to play here – it’s just a matter of adjusting to the slightly cooler conditions but it’s nothing that I haven’t experienced in the past,” Molik said.

“For me it’s a perfect lead up for the Australian Open and it’s quite relaxing here in Hobart as well.”

Top seed Marion Bartoli (FRA) will meet former world No.1 Dinara Safina (RUS) in a blockbuster night session, with the world No.16 making her debut appearance in Hobart.

In other first round matches on day two, No.2 seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (RUS) will meet the flamboyant Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA), while British No.1 Elena Baltacha (GBR) will challenge former world top 20 player Tamarine Tanasugarn of Thailand.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Sally Peers (AUS) will also be in action against qualifier Olga Govortsova of Belarus.
