Top seed American Sloane Stephens has withdrawn from the 2016 Hobart International.
The official reason for the world No.30’s withdrawal is a viral illness.
German Mona Barthel, the highest ranked unseeded player, now becomes the ninth seed and takes the top seed position in the draw. An additional qualifer/lucky loser place is added to Barthel’s original spot.
The order of play for tomorrow has also been updated as a result of the draw changes.
Qualifer and lucky loser spots will be determined at the conclusion of qualifying matches tomorrow.
